My name is Kathleen Alexandrina Ishmael – Roberts a first time author who was raised in a little fishing village in Tobago called Castara. My grandparents who were seamstresses, midwives, cooks, gardeners, fishermen and prayer warriors raised me as a child of prayer, we prayed every morning and evening. Among my hobbies reading and writing are my first loves.
I contracted Covid_19 in 2020 and during my hospital stay the prayer I prayed the most was the Our Father Prayer which i prayed countless times during each day of my sixteen days stay. After my discharge i established a you tube channel and did a series on the ‘Our Father Prayer’, which brought a number of suggestions to write a book on the prayer.
I am grateful to be numbered among the National Library And Information System Authority (NALIS) First Time Authors Appreciation Programme 2026. I have since started my second book and believe it will assist others to embrace a positive way of living, loving and caring for others.
