Bolo leaves the forest and goes out into the world to learn new things and new ways of doing things. He returns to the jungle with a daring idea to be a sweet potato farmer instead of foraging the forest for fruits, which is the way monkeys have always lived.
Despite his best efforts he first meets with failure and ridicule but Bolo refuses to give up. He continues to believe in his dream and learns to overcome. He is showered with praise and reaps great fame for his efforts.
