Description
What happens when you are about to die?
You get a chance to reassess your life one last time.
Was it worth it?
Did you pass the test of morality?
This is the story told by the soul of an Indo- Trinidadian woman who laments on her experiences in the last seven minutes of her life. Her story comes to terms with a not so new wave of (psychological) oppression in the 21st century.
She shares her pain and struggles growing up under the oppressing behaviours and harsh stereotypes of Caribbean parenting by writing back to the unconsciously dismissive parental figures, disrespectful families and the one we all know best- judgemental aunts and uncles- until she reaches her limit. What she decides to do next is extreme; something that she knows everyone will talk about.
