Description
Discover the wit and wisdom of the islands—one saying, one stroke of color at a time.
Caribbean Conversations: Sayings to Colour & Keep brings the region’s most beloved proverbs, phrases, and expressions to life through art and reflection. Each spread pairs a traditional Caribbean saying with an original piece of intricate line art—designed to color, contemplate, and keep.
From Trinidad’s “What ent meet yuh ent pass yuh” to Barbados’ “Every bush is a man,” these expressions carry the humor, heart, and hard-earned wisdom of Caribbean living. Alongside each saying, you’ll find short reflections that invite mindfulness, cultural pride, and a deeper connection to our shared heritage.
Created by Trinidadian artist and storyteller Simone Jacelon, this collection celebrates language as art and culture as inspiration. The stylized patterns and detailed doodles echo the vibrancy of island life—each page a conversation between creativity and memory.
Part of the Colour Me Caribbean™ series, this is Book 2 in the collection that celebrates the region’s beauty, resilience, and imagination.
Whether you’re coloring for calm, exploring your roots, or searching for the perfect Caribbean gift, Caribbean Conversations invites you to slow down, smile, and rediscover the rhythm of island wisdom.
Color. Reflect. Keep a little Caribbean with you.
