Can you tell us about your book and its main themes?

My book is all about educating people on how to obtain leads, find job opportunities, and sell themselves to the business world. It’s a guide for those looking to leverage platforms like LinkedIn to elevate their careers. The main themes center around the power of personal branding, networking, and taking an international approach to career growth.

What inspired you to write this book?

The main inspiration behind my book comes from my own experience. I wasn’t getting much help from others, but I still managed to land big jobs with international clients. I’ve been grinding for years, and I want to share what I learned with others, so they can do the same and achieve even more.

How does your Trinidadian background influence your writing?

I don’t think in terms of being Trinidadian, but rather in an international mindset. I travel frequently, at least once every two months, which allows me to network with business professionals all over the world. My writing reflects that global perspective.

What was your writing process like for this book?

The writing process was quite straightforward for me. Everything I wrote came from what I’ve learned over the years—there was no need to overcomplicate things. I wanted to make sure the content was practical and actionable for readers.

What message do you hope readers take away from your book?

The main message I hope readers take away is: Don’t think local, think international. Your opportunities are endless when you expand your vision beyond your local community.

Can you share a memorable moment or experience from your writing journey?

A memorable moment would be when I thought I wouldn’t be able to connect with readers. I had doubts at first, but then I reminded myself, “I can do it.” That mindset shift helped me move forward and finish the book.

What has been the most rewarding part of being a published author?

The most rewarding part has been knowing that I’m not keeping my knowledge to myself. I’m sharing what I’ve learned with others, and hopefully helping them achieve their own success.

Can you tell us about any upcoming projects or books you’re working on?

Yes! I’m currently working on a new book, which I plan to publish in New York soon. It’s going to build on the ideas from How to Make Money on LinkedIn? and dive deeper into the art of personal branding and online entrepreneurship.

How do you promote your work and connect with your readers?

I promote my work by creating content on social media. LinkedIn is a great platform for me to connect with my audience, share valuable insights, and engage in conversations that inspire growth.

How do you see the future of Trinidadian literature evolving?

There is a lot of talent in Trinidad, and I believe that with more belief in oneself, success is achievable. The future of Trinidadian literature is bright, and I’m excited to see more voices emerge in the global literary scene.

What role do you think storytelling plays in preserving culture?

Storytelling is crucial at every stage of life—childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. It’s how we pass down our culture, traditions, and values. A great story is a masterpiece in itself, and it has the power to preserve our heritage for generations to come.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers about your work or writing journey?

There were many times during my journey when I felt like giving up. But when people reach out for help, I can’t say “No.” Knowing that I can make a difference keeps me going, and it motivates me to continue writing and sharing my knowledge.
