Thoughts From an Isolated Soul are poems written by the author during his time residing in upstate rural New York. The poems are reflections of his daily observations of rural life in general. Nearly all of his poems were thrust onto paper because of such prolonged isolation in rural upstate New York. Put differently, the author resided in a suburban environment for most of his life, then had to reside in a few rural and isolated towns for some time as well. This, along with other intricate circumstances, gave him the opportunity to produce the current work before the reader. Some poems are readily perceived. Others may perplex the reader. But most provoke the mind of the reader to reflect on his or her own life.
